Timing

Most e-com website projects are between 6 - 8 weeks. Replacement websites can be done in 4 weeks and larger sites that need a market strategy 12 weeks. Each case is defined based on your needs.

E-commerce Platforms

For e-commerce website we work with 2 platforms that we have found to not just work but also suit small and medium size businesses. These are Shopify and Woo Commerce. Both work well and are suited to different businesses. We help you to select the best one for your business. We do not operate affiliate programmes so we can change platform whenever we want an have no commercial ties to any platform that we use. 

Shopify
We work with the Shopify platform for most e-commerce companies. It allows flexibility but also is easy to manage and update. No hosting hassles or plugin update problems. We focus on making your e-com website stand out and have tools to help make that happen.
Woo Commerce
We work with Woo Commerce for many clients. Woo Commerce has great flexibility but with flexibility comes responsibility. We ensure your website is setup correctly, hosted and easy for you to manage.
Linking Systems
All our hosting in in Europe and are big fans of Hostinger but can work with most hosting companies. Shopify hosts its own websites and we build there. We can also setup a firewall and use Cloudflare for most of our clients. We typically link and email system to your website. The most popular we find are Omnisend for Shopify and MailerLite for Woo Commerce. We are expert in both systems.

Timing

While every E-com website project is different we tend to find it takes between 4 – 12 weeks for a new e-com website. If it is a replacement e-com site which is well defined and images and content is available it is usually done within 4 weeks. If the e-com website is a large one and we need to define the essence of the brand and focus for the website it is usually between 8 – 12 weeks. Naturally there are exceptions and we define each one with you at the start. For e-com websites we will load your products but you are also enabled to load your products.  We tend to follow a 3-step process when building your new website and we bill based on these stages. 

Our way of working is to empower you to have the e-commerce site that works for you. It is your site and you will have full control over it to add new products, pages, content etc. Naturally if you want to work with us after the site is live we can offer full ongoing support with your e-com website and marketing. 

Definition and Purpose

We define with you how your e-com website fits into your business and client purchase habits and patterns. We look at what is going to attract your ideal customers and build that into the e-com website. We also define the platforms to be used at this stage.

Design

We work on the design of your new e-com website. This usually has a few steps where we show you the concept and it is then adapted based on your input. We then create sub-page designs. While it is an e-com website it still needs to engage clients so that they buy into you and your business as they buy from you.

Going Live

Your new e-com website is built out with content, images and products. Many also include integrations to apps such as email, billing, admin and logistics. These are all done in preparation for putting your new e-commerce website live.

BedofScandinavia needed a new updated website to support consumer sales. They were on a Word Press / WooCommerce platform. We considered moving to Shopify but as they may add e-commerce to their business-to-business side using Woo Commerce was deemed to be the best option. One platform for all and also a more commercially viable option.

Grow our Ecom sales

We work with resellers but have also set up our own E-shop to sell direct to consumers. We made good sales initially but feel we have hit a ceiling. We are doing a lot of sales and marketing activities but we are not sure what is working and it costs a lot of money. We are looking for a better structure for our digital sales and marketing and help to prioritise from a neutral advisor. "

New E-commerce - Shopify

CAFEGO needed a new website for their e-commerce business selling coffee, both ground and beans. Shopify was deemed to be the best option as it is a low maintenance and easy to maintain platform that has all the features that were needed. The challenge is often to stand out, so we made sure to leverage the essence of the brand from and use a specific page builder that allows us to design the homepage that captures the essence of CAFEGO.

An Ecom with an old site

We are an E-com company and have been in business for a long time. We feel stuck with an old E-com platform but not sure if we can work around it or should change. It makes it hard to make changes but we are not sure if it is worth changing or if how we work is the main priority.
